A Second World War Historical Reenactment Unit in Texas, commemorating the service and sacrifice of the
6th King's Own Scottish Borderers in Northwest Europe 1944-45
ABOUT THE UNIT COMMANDER
Michael W. "Mick" Stewart enlisted in the U.S. Army after graduation from high school and served
with 16th and 63rd Signal Battalion, Signal Regiment (formerly Signal Corps), 1985-88.  He later re-
enlisted for state military service and served with
8th Brigade (Regimental Support Detachment),
Texas State Guard
(TXSG), 2004-2006.  He was called to active duty in 2005 by Gov. Rick Perry
for Hurricanes
Katrina and Rita which struck the Gulf Coast.  His unit served as site security for the
Red Cross and helped in-process nearly 25,000 evacuee's from greater New Orleans and southeast
Texas.

A WWII reenactor since 1982, Mick is unit commander,
6th KOSB Historical Reenactment Unit and
webmaster,
The KOSB at War (1939-45).   A Scottish piper, drummer and Drum-Major, he has served
as Vice President,
Regimental Drum-Majors Association (RDMA) and as Senior Drum-Major at the
Houston Highland Games (1996-97) and Celtic Festival, New Orleans, LA (1999, 2000).  He
currently teaches regimental Drum-Major mace (staff) drill to civilian drum-majors in Texas.  A Cold
War Vet, Mick serves as President,
Allied Forces Cold War Association (AFCWA).  He lives in
Houston, Texas where he works as a Personal Fitness Trainer (PFT).
