JUNE 2009 REPORT

    Honoring the Forgotten Front
6th KOSB Historical Reenactment Unit hosted a photo shoot at the Camp Anderson Military Museum, FM 1774 near
Anderson, Texas.  The brainchild of MVPA member and WWII reenactor Jesse Hernandez, Camp Anderson contains
over 200+ acres of rolling Texas farmland which houses Jesse's incredible collection of WWII and modern armored vehicles
including a large museum dedicated to the American soldier.   Camp Anderson also houses a two-story barracks, mess hall
and prepared, dug-in positions around the property, making it, in the eyes of many historians, "a reenactors paradise".   Jesse
gave us permission to take photos in preparation for our 2009 China-Burma-India (CBI) National Battle, to be hosted by
Camp Anderson and 6th KOSB Historical Reenactment Unit.  We chose this weekend to stage a photo shoot and capture
members of the unit in the standard British WWII "Jungle Green" uniform and thereby honor the men who served on the
Forgotten Front in Burma.  Our thanks to professional photographer Jamie Josephs who captured these photos of us and to
Jesse and his wife and daughters who came out on this rainy, hot, humid day to host us!
