5909 Fairdale #3 Houston TX 77057 Dear Mick Great to hear from you and thanks again for laying a wreath for my Dad on Remembrance Day. He would have said he was not worthy of such an honor, that it was the boys who didn't make it back who should hold the limelight. But you know that it was all those men and women, regardless of whether they returned, who deserve to be so honored for such love of country and noble purpose. Enclosed you'll find my father's original KOSB tam. Its fitting that it should go to you as you show such devotion to the regiment. My dad was very pleased (and a little perplexed) that a younger fellow from Texas would take such an interest and ask so many detailed questions about the British Army he so loved. I know you'll wear it with pride. Thanks again and I'll be thinking of you and of Dad on November 11. Bash on regardless. ( signed ) Reg |
