Introduction
The 6th KOSB Historical Reenactment Unit was established in June, 2008 as a professional, independent, non-aligned,
historical reenactment group based out of Texas.  The group was inactive in 2010 and then re-established in June, 2011.  It's
membership is composed of prior service U.S. Army veterans, historians, collectors and like-minded individuals who live in
Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Kansas and Louisiana.

    Associations
6th KOSB Historical Reenactment Unit is not associated with the KOSB Regiment, Museum, Association or the Royal
Regiment of Scotland.  However, we do have ties to WWII-era KOSB veterans, relatives and family members in the United
Kingdom and Canada.  6th KOSB Historical Reenactment Unit is a member unit of the 6th Cavalry Historical Associ-
ation, an affiliate of the Military Vehicles Preservation Association (MVPA) in the United States, a 501(c)(3) non-profit
group, which holds its monthly meetings at the National United States Armed Forces Museum (formerly Military Museum of
Texas), 8611 Wallisville Road, Houston, Texas.  6th KOSB Historical Reenactment Unit is also a member unit of XXX
Corps British Reenacting Association, a conglomeration of like-minded units in the South-central United States that have
"brigaded" together to perpetuate and honor the service and sacrifice of the wartime British soldier.

before, during and after each event.  Blank ammunition is routinely checked at each historical reenactment event we take part
in.  Furthermore, new members are required to undergo a two-hour block of instruction on weapons and pyrotechnic safety
before admitted as fully fledged, voting members of our group.  Weapons safety violations are not tolerated under any
    circumstances.
